What the source?
Many of the links for The Simpsons Season 1-31 aren’t working. Especially when going from bottom to the top.
Hi,
Most of the links on season 22 is not working and the Mega that’s working only has 2 episodes.
Please can you help it, especially the Mega files.
Thank you for all you do.
fixed
Season 3 ain’t working
fixed
Can you check season 9? Mega has 1 ep and the other links didn’t work (WEB-HD). Thanks!
can’t fix mega, use PD/GD instead
Are all the early seasons in 16:9? They’re all croppeed. Could you upload them in the original aspect ratio?
@melgy
It’s really quite difficult to ascertain exactly what you are asking for, because there are multiple sources in this thread (HDTV and WEB-HD) coupled with the fact that you’re mixing in some vague terms with limited exactitude in comparison to more specificity.
The “early seasons” aired over 30+ years ago. During that time period, the content had the original aspect ratio of 4:3 as that was the standard aspect ratio for the significant majority of TVs (if not all of them). This was SDTV content. The DVD seasons which started releasing in the early 2000s were also 4:3 aspect ratio.
In the late 2000s Fox started airing new episodes with content produced for HDTV using 16:9. I think that began in Season 20 or Season 21? Hard to remember. Eventually Fox took the original “early seasons” and cropped from 4:3 to 16:9 to match the aspect ratio of the newer episodes. This quantifies the HDTV source in this thread.
When the episodes were released on the web eventually, they also used the 16:9 cropped versions of the original 4:3 aspect ratio SDTV episodes. Though I think they did a remaster of those because the color and clarity is usually a bit better than the HDTV sources.
So, I think your question is:
Can Pahe make available S01 to S19 (or S20, or whatever season the HDTV content started) in the original 4:3 aspect ratio using an SDTV or DVD source? Possible. But that is a lot of seasons to do,. and tracking down the right sources might be more challenging. The quality of most of those sources that can be found for downloading are going to be usually quite low. The better choice in terms of quality would be the DVDs. I don’t believe they ever went back and released the earlier seasons on Blu-ray. Or maybe someone did a capture of the early seasons using HDTV of reruns but before they did the cropped conversion mastering? Who knows.
So, your question is, “Could you upload them in the non-cropped, original 4:3 aspect ratio from a high quality source?”
I wont speak for BHB but I would guess the answer is, “very, very unlikely.”
Admin, Season 30 WEB-HD, PD/GD links not working. Thanks for all your helps.
