Decided not to watch after all PC statements … too much too handle… like wtf…. people want entertainment, not a training video on how to behave. The first 2 seasons were great but this one is literal trash.
I kinda agree with this. I loved the show since the beginning and I am a black guy. I thought they would just address the BLM thing in just the first one or two episodes of the season. But they stretched it out up until now. Even having Officer Bradford, a very good cop, apologize (??) for something he did in the first season. It’s so PC now that none of the actual bad guys this season are black or brown. And if a black person is seen as a threat it is deemed racist or the perp is somehow conveniently always innocent. I see the same thing happening on another show I used to like NCIS New Orleans.

I’m sorry, but wtf is up with The Rookie this season? I loved how fun, entertaining and action packed it WAS in the first two seasons. I’m a black guy and I hate this season so much. They keep on making every frickin episode about BLM BLM BLM.
I can understand the show had to address the issue. But to keep it going on in every episode throughout the entire season is frickin nuts. The writers make it look like all cops have always been wrong and all black people are innocent of their crimes. And if a cop happens to arrest a black person (guilty or not), that cop is immediately labeled racist. The show has to move away from this subject altogether or just cancel it this season.
What’s the point of making a good copshow if you’re going to tell the audience in every episode that the cops are doing their job wrong?
