It’s reasons for 3.4 rating is a political one. The series is probably a 6.5 or 7 imho. Those ratings are from mass extremist Hindu groups from India who were ‘offended” due to some scenes. That’s it. Will leave it to you to decide.
Wow. The only tv series which i think IMDb has criminally underrated. It deserves minimum of 8.0 .

The 3.4 IMDB isnt the vite for the show, it’s the voting of the people who thought the show hurt their religious sentiments. Keeping that aside, the series is watch worthy, if not good……. Indians use the IMDB ratings section as a platform to showcase the hatred for the creators, not the show.

All this just because a Muslim guy played a Hindu character who was doing theater as a role of a Hindu God and said the F word as it was a satirical play. I watched the first episode and I liked it… definitely a 7 imdb.
Not much to cause such havoc or controversy.
Both the scenes that are being argued upon are in the first episode… and the casteism one is pretty accurate depiction in india. The religion scene felt forced and wasn’t necessary but nothing Mirzapur already hasn’t done… and i didn’t had a problem with any.
