Replacing links is not as simple as you think
Not normally confrontational but when I’m being patronised I tend to be a bit miffed.
I’ve been designing and building websites since the 9660 baud modem was considered cutting edge. I know what’s involved in fixing dead connections and links. You have other hosts you use. You also have pages filled with dead links and content that can’t be accessed by users who contact you to let you know it would be desirable for that content to be accessible.
The process of replacing the dead links is time consuming and laborious but, unless you no longer have the content that is cited which begs the question of why that page is still up, it’s not exactly difficult.
