I use potplayer and reduced the saturation to 0. Same result.
Heads up that creating a black and white version usually involves more picture adjustment from the filmmakers than just turning the color settings down to zero. Shadow and highlights detail and other adjustments are considered, shot by shot, by the director or editor and cinematographer. Just to consider for anyone who doesn’t want to wait a day at most for a proper version.
