How is the Remastered version different from the initial release?
HDR DV suck… why keep using this? Back to HDR10 pls…
DV is capable of displaying 12-bit color depth, which amounts to 68.7 billion colors, whereas HDR10 is limited to 10-bit and 1.07 billion colors.
How does that make DV (a premium proprietary app) worse than HDR10 (an open source app)?
Everyone is capable of viewing 12-bit? heck no dude. Compatibility is the issue over here.

I just tested this release (and Wolf of Wall Street) on HDR10 TV (8bit panel, no DV support) it fell back to HDR without any blur issue. Everything was worked just fine. Perhaps change your player?

Dolby Vision is not free, HDR10 is. HDR10+ is new to compete with Dolby Vision. HDR10 and HDR10+ buid by consortium, not single company like Dolby Vision. Many TV doesn’t support Dolby Vision, so please support free technology.
@Executioner [Admin] tested on both MPC and MPV (both are the best players except MPV > MPC) and the details in both are killed off! Even SDR > DV is what I can noticed…
Simulating HDR/DV on SDR screen often caused quality problem. Noticed since the earlier of HDR BluRay rip first appears. Sometimes it went too dark, details not showing, wrong color etc.
I will never recommending that. Play on HDR supported-devices only, otherwise get the SDR release.

Too bad that they still are not sure when TR 2 will be produced let alone released, due to covid and all. It’s scheduled to be released on March 2021. And here we are 7-8 months later, still with no new release date.
