I did a little searching and found this: “UPDATE 5/4/2026: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie digital release date has been delayed, and will not be released on digital tomorrow, May 5, as previously reported by Decider. The actual Super Mario Galaxy Movie digital release date has not yet been announced. Stay tuned for updates!”
So it looks like the actual digital release was ready to go but they pulled it for who knows why. *reasons*. Probably because they want to milk it more in the theatres.
So it looks like the official WEB-DL release was all ready to go. That’s how it is out in the wild.

Too low of bitrate for the 1080p copies. Probably wanted to aim for 2gb x265 and 2.5gb x264 for decent quality. Tons of artifacts. Regardless, I appreciate everything you do. One of the best sites hands down.

Hi eveyone and sorry for the bother. Just wanted to ask if anyone knows where we can get a fixed subtitle that is totally in sync with the movie. Tried different ones with Subsource but they are the same as with the softcoded subs in this copy. Thank you so much!

@Hansel Because I prefer Pahe encodes for new stuff most of the time because the Pahe encodes have good quality for the LOWER file size, and when they update here with the Bluray as source, there will be 2 HDR encodes. 1 in 1080p and 1 in 4k. I prefer the Bluray 1080p HDR Pahe encodes. Yes it is out there already on multiple other sites, but at larger file sizes.

Well you may probably only need to wait till next Tuesday 16th because that is when its Blu-ray version officially released.

@Hansel See I told you that Pahe would update it soon with the bluray source with new encodes, including HDR. You don’t seem to realize that things on the internet often get leaked early before official release dates. This was a good example. Both the Web-DL and Bluray got released before the official release dates happened. This was because it was ready to go and they delayed the dates. Probably because they wanted to give it more time in the movie theatres. This movie has made over $1.2 BILLION US Dollars alone JUST from the theatrical release. Which means it’s obviously 100% CERTAIN that there will be more Mario Bros. movies coming out since they just print money for these companies.
