How come hevc file is half the size of x264 file
HEVC or x265 uses a new method of compression that able to get smaller file than AVC or x264 “with just the same quality” as an AVC or x264, it’s an upgrade.
You don’t have to worry about the bitrate, ignore everyone who said that x265 low bitrate means it has lower quality than x264, that’s just bullshit, both has a different method of compressing files, so it has a different measurement if it comes to quality, not just bitrate, because bitrate depends on the size of the file, smaller filesize means smaller bitrate, that’s inevitable.

720p x265 has a lot of encoding error and stuttering. maybe it corrupted while downloading? x264 works tho.
