Your high quality CRF encodes are better than your usual bitrate-starved 2pass encodes in my opinion. People worry too much about size.
my 2-pass encodes were actually CRF-based, I have my own bitrate standards for each movie
CRF-based how? what program does that?
i think what he mean is determining the amount of bitrate used in 2pass based on CRF test and/or CRF value from the source or other same material encode
