Could anyone explain the difference between 6CH, DD5.1 & DD+7.1? Thanks in advance
6CH means audio is 6 channel with AAC (Advance audio codec) downmux from DD5.1 or DD+5.1 or DD+7.1.
DD5.1 is (ac3) – Dolby audio codec means audio is 6 channel upto 448kbps downmux from DD+5.1 or DD+7.1.
DD+5.1 is (e-ac3) – enhanced Dolby audio codec is 6 channel untouched from source 640kbps or more.
8CH is AAC – 8 channel but downmux from source TrueHD Atoms 7.1.
DD+7.1 is e-ac3 – 8 channel downmux from source TrueHD Atoms 7.1.
DTS audio can be 6 channel or 8 channel.
Truehd audio is 8 channels.
DTS-HD 5.1 and TrueHD Atoms 7.1 is untouched means ORIGINAL Audio provided by Disc Supplier.
