Excellent series (from someone who is not a fan of superheroes shows).
“who lives in [Hoxton, London] where everybody except her has a superpower”
And there lies the power of the show. It is rooted in a particular type of British SF — take the ordinary mundane world and change one thing and see where it leads. e.g. the ongoing joke of the To Let shop next to their flat entrance that was comic book store. Who needs comics when everyone has superpowers?
One other recent show in a similar/different vein is Dead Hot (terrible IMDB but undeserved, IMHO) that even shares an actor in Bilal Hasna. Perhaps a good one for pahe to add as it’s not here?
