just wondering how you guys determine whether to encode in 4k or just 1080 sourced from UHD, considering that this is an Alfred Hitchcock film. Was due to the source being SDR

Your site says the 1080p x264 of The Birds (1963) UHD is DD5.1. When I attempt the GD download I’m told when I reach the file it’s DD 2.0. Same for PD. does a DD5.1 exist?
Some notation I found implied this may exist on rapidrar dot com/fczpkl8yrbij! I can’t access Rapidrar but maybe your teams can.. It’s a 2080p x265…
If a DD5.1 can’t be found I guess at least the site should reflect it’s only DD2..0

it was a mistake, audio should be 2.0 only. Any 5.1 out there is upscaled.
