I like Jack Lemmon, he’s natural actor.
And I’ve seen some of his movies,
including this one, several years ago.
The reason I watch this movie because it was listed
In afi.com (American Film Institute).
But to be honest,
this movie doesn’t give me much impression.
Anyway, Days of Wine & Roses is definitely
my favorite movie of his (so far).
And the movie’s about alcoholism
& it gives you precious lesson in life.

Read one of UR review in some alien related movies, where U ranked well all those top alien movies. So I need a suggestion from U…….
I want to watch alien 1979 and 86 both. So which one should I go for the THEATRICAL or the director’s cut.

My preference is Alien (1979) theatrical cut and Aliens (1986) extended cut.
For alien, there is only minor differences between both versions but for aliens, the theatrical cut leaves out some important parts which add to the overall experience IMO.

I’m agree with Midnight Mercenary.
And here’s my reasons…
I personally prefer the theatrical cut
for Alien 1979,
simply because It’s one minute longer
& it’s the original artifact.
Besides that,
that movie was meant to be One-Shot,
but because it was successful,
the studio decided to make its sequel.
Need to remember that
Scott doesn’t own the copyright holder for the franchise,
infact the movie was made in his early carreer
and also made based on “limited budget” spirit.
(totally different case, if it was compared to George Lucas’ Star Wars movie)
Anyway, I’m not a big fan of Ridley Scott,
so haven’t find out why he cutted that movie
to one minute shorter.

Now there, when it comes to
James Cameron movie in Alien sequel,
it would be great to see his whole idea,
because that guy is a genius
