How can you guys run such a big site (much appreciated) and I see this comment all the time?? “No Backup” – storage drives are so cheap now, not even mentioning online storage. Can you please create a “Backup” system Pahe, so when a request comes in you can easily find it – not hard to do!!
Not to mention it’s a pity to lose your hard work it took, encoding the original file as well – so it’s a win-win?!

I understand your point, not cheap. But the prices have started to come down – you guys can start getting smaller drives (building up to 350TB).

Also in January Seagate just released a 32TB drive. Retails for $699, but this will come down in 2026:

You need 11 drives and all set! When the price eventually lowers to $500 this year, that’s 500×11 = 5500.
At least start buying one drive here, one drive there – it will build up to your required “11” in no time.
Please make it happen Pahe!! I’ve been a Team Pahe fan for a long time.
Please find a way to keep, and not lose all your hard work.
$5500 that is not cheap at all.
You know what is cheaper? Just re-encode the lost files with newer sources and post it again.
“lost files” are not happening a lot, perhaps only 1 of 4 cases we don’t have backup. Those lost movies need a fresh encode anyway.
