I need some help about adding watermark to the videos without losing quality. Something like movie and series encoders.
Can you help me? What software Should I use for that?

Handbrake is #1
1. At first I burn .srt or .ass file that contains my watermark onto video
2. Then set encode speed into the fastest without using other advanced settings, just default
3. Encode it!
After encode finish, you’ll get that watermarked video, HQ but the size is big like my crush’s bobby, so what’d you do?
1. Back to Handbrake, take that video
2. Re-encode with following advanced settings,
ref=8 (or 5), bitrate=969, subme=9,
and I forget the rest cause I’m not bringing my lap–uh oh–myMac book, I’m in cafe with my Diane right now, so… It means I have a life.
Anyway, I use Handbrake 0.10.0 in order to encode videos in an efficient way.
So Pahe I’m seriously asking you, why can’t I set the ref into 8, in the latest Handbrake?
I input the settings with ref=8, but it turns out always become 5 refs. Why?
