  1. in a future wherefreedom is outlawed, outlaws will became heroes

  2. There are two different 1080p version. (x264 and x265) What is the exact difference between these two? Their bitrate’s same?

    • no, the bitrate between the 2 versions is different, x265 is smaller, that’s why x265 has a smaller size,
but the advantage of x265 is the ability to compress better, even though the bitrate is smaller, but the resulting quality is almost equivalent to a higher bitrate, so it doesn’t damage the video quality, in contrast to x264, when the compressed has a small bitrate, the quality results will be drastically reduced.
but if you compare x264 and x265 with the same bitrate, then the resulting size is exactly the same.
You can download the two types to check what the bitrate is in each type.

  3. x264 and x265 are video codecs much like mp3 and aac are audio codecs. x265 has a higher video compression than x264, thus the smaller file size. Without knowing the encoder settings I imagine the quality of the picture is pretty similar for both even though bitrates will be different. The thing to consider is how you are going to play the file – if on a desktop, the latest edition of VLC player (free download) can readily play either file if you have decent hardware to play it on. If using a standalone media player to an HDTV, you’ll need to find out which video codecs the player is capable of.

Obviously x265 is the newer, better codec but you need the proper hardware and/or software to achieve this. Personally, I’m still using x264 because I am not yet ready to upgrade my TVs and media players (especially since the x266 codec is on the horizon).
