Source of this is 1080p amazon web-dl. What you posted is the 4:3 dvdrips. So no, they aren’t the same version. The one posted here is MUCH better.

The very first episode’s audio is out of sync.
Play it with -300ms for the audio to be in sync. But yes, a proper version for that episode is needed.
They usually get them fixed, but it might take some time.
I’m still thinking if I should download this version
I compared some Shots with the original
Colors were not graded very well but they’re acceptable
There is scenes that are zoomed in to hide crewmembers from appearing on edges
So I don’t know if I should take this one
42 gigs arnt small after all, besides that the original I have is 37 gigs

Fox doesn’t care about Buffy TVS or Angel so I don’t think we’ll ever see proper remastering or even Blu-ray releases. They’ll just keep reissuing the same remasters/DVDs over and over again.
I guess I’m gonna stay on my old version

If anyone wants to fix the audio sync for S01E01, the delay is -620ms.
You can use Avidemux to fix audio sync problems, it’s quick and easy to do.

Still hunting for the original 1080p uncompressed files, close I’ve come is torrents and they’re really slow. :/ Would really love to mess around in Adobe Premiere and make these look as close to an actual HD master and make my own Blu-rays.

I just downloaded episode 7 of season 6 (Once More With Feeling) to see what the quality was like, which is good I might add, and found that this episode is missing around 5 minutes of footage with a runtime of only 43~ minutes compared to the 48~ minutes for the DVDRip I have. On the Amazon website however they list a 50~ minute runtime for their digital release that this should be ripped from so it’s more like 7 minutes of missing footage, whether this is a fault of the original TrollHD encode itself or somehow happened during your re-encoding of it I don’t know but it’s something I felt I should bring to attention.

Unfortunately while these are excellent copies of the show, the source which these came from does have cuts (I thinks its the edited for syndication version) the full running length for once more with feeling for instance is 50 minutes long
