Because the re-encodings are done by the real people, unlike other sites using trashy software to automate processing. Yep, pahe does the artificial sharpening so casual people won’t even notice the differences between source and compressed release in big screen.
1080p x264 appears to be 2GB
1080p x265 appears to be 1.7GB
x265 is a more intelligent format which stores data more where needed. The quality will be pretty much the same, x265 being efficient is smaller.
