It’s not really clear at first sight, but I can confirm the batch files are the complete 22 episodes season 3 (at least for 720p x264 on Viking File).

The 720p x265 VF option downloads a compressed exe program that’s only a little over 700mb. I did NOT use it out of concern about exactly what it would install on my system. The Tb option requires either a log in, or installing and using their app. Again, that seems like a huge security risk to me. It’s frustrating to go through the entire sequence multiple times only to find these sorts of huge security risks.
The GD option seems to work, however.

The 720p x265 | 5.52 GB VF option works fine using either the “Download files directly from archive” for the individual episodes or using the main “Download” link.. Main “Download” link yields a .zip file (not an .exe) at 5.52 GB (5,931,195,220 bytes) with all episodes for Season 4.
Issue is likely your browser, your settings, your ad blocking (or lack thereof), or your methods.
Best practice at many of these sites is to use right click to initiate the DL rather than left as some have in browser events firing on mousedown that lead to redirected URLs rather then the actual file hosted at the site itself. Check your DL history for the .exe file mentioned.
If the URL of that file is not in the format of:
“https://vikingfile..XX.cloudflarestorage.com/?”
Then that is redirect scenario enumerated is likely what happened.
Interesting – thanks so much for the info. What I got was a zip file – but the zip file was only a little over 700mb – and it included the exe I mentioned along with some other files. I didn’t look at it beyond seeing that the size of the main zip file was way too small, and the zip file included an exe file that would have been unzipped and loaded onto my computer if I’d tried to unzip the main zip file. So I just deleted it.
I’d used the main download link to try to get the entire season batch – but I’d left clicked, not right. I think I tried right click but didn’t see any option that looked promising. But I do use an ad blocker.
So maybe it was a redirect or something as you’d suggested. Anyhow, next time I run across one of the VFs, maybe I’ll give it a try again and see if I can get it to work, or at least figure out why it’s not.

The left click mousedown redirect issue mentioned above does happen specifically at VF in some browsers on the main download button. If using right click on the main download button instead, one does get to the correct download.
But all your advice is spot on.
