What’s this?
The first Hannibal Lector film wasn’t the 1991 Silence Of The Lambs… but the 1986 Manhunter with Brian Cox as Lector. It’s based on the book Red Dragon. I highly recommend it.
Yes Manhunter is so cool and a much better movie than this. This version might not be the director’s worst, but it’s still such a hack work in comparison to Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, and Manhunter. (Yes I remain bitter that they rushed this into production for some reason with such an untalented director.)
The TV series Hannibal is also good. They cover the Red Dragon story in the third season.
