@jim, the black characters were mainly from Summer Islands and the Free Cities. There weren’t any blacks in the Seven Kingdoms (unless you counted some at the Night’s Watch). But from what I’ve read about this show, a Hightower is black as well. Hightowers were the richest family in the Seven Kingdoms.
There was obviously gay/bisexuality in ASOIAF (such as Oberyn Martell being bisexual) but none of the key characters were any from of LGBTHAS.
If you want black/gay/lgbqs characters, create them. But don’t take any existing white/straight characters and turn them into your political agenda, that’s my complaint.
If someone made a movie about Hitler and portrayed him as black and gay riding around in a Tesla in the 1930s, would that be okay?
