If y’all ever thought about doing AV1 encodes, THIS would be the movie to do it on. It’s a long movie, and while you say the bitrate is basically 10 Mbps, I know the movie is gonna have compression artifacting. It’s happened before… Unless the source is bad (which I’ve also seen). AV1 would probably save like 30-50% of storage at 10 Mbps. That’s assuming you go from TRUE untouched 4K source -> 4K AV1. Compressed (4K HEVC) to more compressed (4K AV1) looks like SHIT. If niggas can’t play the file then that’s their problem.. should have 2026 hardware in 2026 and not use cheap ass “new” electronics with hardware from 2019.
