  1. This could be ready for 8K release one day.
    Because of:
“…method of scanning in film at 8k resolution was originally pioneered in the creation of BARAKA’s acclaimed Blu-ray…”

  2. How can these old movies be in 4k quality?
Like was there even 720p in 1992?

    • Because many of these old movies were shot on film. Just to give you an idea, 35mm film is equal to 4k resolution. This movie in particular, Baraka, was shot on 70mm film, which is 4 times larger than 35 mm! Once the film is transferred to digital, you get an astounding 8k ultra high-definition picture. Truly an amazing process.

    • Ironically many new movies were shot only on 2K, and upscaled to 4K to get UHD BluRay releases.

  3. Just waiting for The good, the bad and the ugly new uhd 4k copy.
Keep up with thoses uhd releases. Thanks bro.
